Let me introduce you to Keith Martin, having been a DJ on the scene since New Year’s Eve 1979 Keith still enjoys playing his sets, the dance floor is the most important thing for Keith, He says it’s about people having a good time, either by being creative with your selection or just being able to monitor a dance floor as the event unfolds you soon learn, people wanting to hear you play a set that reflects not only your passion but also everybody’s in the venue and that is why it’s important to gain the experience of working in different environments’.

From a background of a mobile DJ working as a youngster, to learning the craft in a range of clubs, bars and festival events, to hosting his own specialist Radio show’s playing Disco, Funk, Soul & Soulful House with Motown being a key ingredient, Keith still has a passion for a great track, dance music has evolved through the years and there are the classics we know and love, but don’t underestimate the great material being released currently, music that will be recognised as the future classics, as Keith says, “Music is an education, Get out there, sample it and learn for yourselves”.

His first radio show was broadcast in 2004 and twenty years on he is still presenting his popular show Steppin’Out, Keith is often booked to compere and host events & also runs very successful quiz nights.

Keith is resident at Colonel Porters & The City Tavern (Newcastle Friday’s), These Things Happen & The Life of Riley (Sunderland on Saturdays), he is also regularly booked to play at events across the UK & Abroad to play his collection.
