BLAKE ROBINSON

Blake started DJ’ing in the mid 80’s alongside some Northeast legends of the soul and dance scene.

Having residencies in night clubs and wine bars in Newcastle, South Shields, Birtley and Chester le Street he continued to shape the club scene throughout the 90’s until taking a break in the 2000’s, only doing guest appearances and charity events.

However that all changed in 2018 when he was asked to start a new residency back in Newcastle playing a mix of soul, funk and house music once again.

When covid struck he thought he would have the chance to hang up his headphones but, during the break between lockdowns in 2020 he played a small venue B2B with Forever 54 founder, Mike Lane and that was that, forming a working relationship and friendship ever since, Blake has been a prominent feature within the team supporting local bars/clubs with his mix of classic and modern soul, disco house in the Forever 54 style as well as being ever present on the Forever 54 Portugal tours where he has played regularly at arguably the two best venues that Vilamoura has to offer in Atlantic Piano Bar and the legendary Thai Beach Club.

He is also the resident DJ at the prestigious Hibou Blanc in Newcastles city centre and having nearly 40 years of experience Blakes ability to take a crowd through a musical journey makes him a great choice for day time drinkers and night time revellers and he is loving his dj’ing as much now as he ever did!
